Mr Wong Mushan
- With close to a decade of experience in the healthcare industry, Mushan is currently the Head of Operations for the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and the Department of Hand & Reconstructive Microsurgery.
- In addition, he heads the hospital’s Operations Centre, a position he has held since 2018. In this role, Mushan leads a team that provides oversight and coordination for emergency preparedness and crisis management across the hospital. Working closely with the hospital leadership team and various external agencies, he played a key role in spearheading both immediate responses and long-term recovery strategies during the COVID-19 pandemic. For his exceptional contributions, Mushan was awarded the Public Administration Medal (Bronze) (COVID-19) in 2023.
- Before joining healthcare, Mushan served in the Singapore Armed Forces for 14 years. During those years, he honed his skills in leadership, strategic planning, and business continuity management. His military career included deployments for peace support operations and humanitarian missions in Afghanistan, showcasing his ability to lead effectively under pressure.
- Mushan holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the National University of Singapore and an Executive Certification in Leadership & People Management from the Singapore Management University.

Ms Caroline Lim
- Caroline Lim is an accomplished Customer Experience and Human Capital Development Specialist with over 20 years of experience in the consulting and training arena, covering major service industries such as aviation, hospitality, luxury retail, banking and finance. She has been heading the Service Culture Department of NUH since August 2021. With her experience, she played a pivotal role in formulating a patient experience enhancement system, leading to the achievement of the NUH Patient Experience Index.
- Her passion for customer experience has led her clients to attain CX Awards in the Asia Pacific region. She previously led three iconic international customer experience projects — the 2008 Beijing Olympics Regatta event in Qingdao, Shandong; the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai; and the development of the National Service Excellence Framework for Botswana, Africa in 2013.
- Caroline holds a Master of Science in International Management with Human Resource Management and is an ACTA-certified trainer with SkillsFuture Singapore.

Dr Diana R Santos
- Dr Diana R. Santos has over 15 years of experience in Clinical Governance, Patient Safety, and Quality Improvement within Singapore’s healthcare sector. She completed her MD and specialist training in Internal Medicine at the De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute in the Philippines. Dr Santos has facilitated hundreds of clinical quality initiatives in NUH and national-wide projects, and has conducted Patient Safety and Quality Improvement training across the region.
- In 2014, she co-authored the book “Clinical Quality and Patient Safety: For Residents & Medical Students.” Her leadership contributed to her team winning the Hospital Management Asia’s Excellence Award in two successive years — for new services and medical devices (2018) and for spearheading the EQUIP (Enabling Quality Improvement in Clinical Practice) training program for clinicians (2019). Her achievements were recognised with the NUHS Exemplary Staff Award and the Singapore National Day Commendation Medal (2019).
- Dr Santos is also a part-time lecturer at the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, where she contributes to the Inter-Professional Education Program and Healthcare Improvement training, reflecting her dedication to continuous education and leadership in the medical community.
Head, Medical Affairs-Clinical Governance and Casemix, National University Hospital
Dr Bhuvaneshwari Mohankumar
- Dr Bhuvana brings extensive experience in quality and patient safety to her roles, supported by a Master of Public Health from Newcastle University, Australia, a Postgraduate Diploma in Hospital Administration, and an MBBS from India. Her expertise shines in conducting Root Cause Analysis and Healthcare Failure Mode Effect Analysis, as well as in leading Quality Improvement training across various projects.
- Recognised as a Master Change Leader and Improvement Advisor, Dr Bhuvana has demonstrated outstanding leadership and commitment to healthcare excellence. Her significant contributions were acknowledged with the Singapore National Day Award – Commendation Medal (2018) and the National Awards (COVID-19) – Commendation Award for her efforts during the pandemic response.
- Dr Bhuvana also contributes to the academic field as a part-time lecturer at the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, managing the Inter-Professional Education Programme, and demonstrating her commitment to educating the next generation of medical professionals.
Chief Medical Informatics Officer, National University Hospital
Dr Ling Zheng Jye
- Dr. Ling Zheng Jye is a highly accomplished medical informatician with a strong background in both healthcare and technology. His career spans over a decade, during which he has consistently been at the forefront of integrating IT solutions into healthcare systems across Singapore.
- Dr. Ling’s educational background, combining a medical degree with a Master’s in Public Health from the National University of Singapore, provides him with a unique perspective on healthcare technology. This blend of medical knowledge and public health expertise has been instrumental in shaping his approach to healthcare informatics.
- In his current role as Chief Medical Informatics Officer at the National University Hospital (NUH) and Senior Assistant Director at the National University Health System (NUHS) Regional Health System Office, Dr. Ling leads critical initiatives in healthcare technology. He spearheads the improvement of Epic clinical workflows and MyChart care innovation, enhancing systems for better patient care. His work on implementing Epic EMR across healthcare services and designing the “My Health Map” preventive health program within the NUHS App showcases his ability to develop and deploy large-scale healthcare IT solutions.
- Prior to his current position, Dr. Ling held key roles that further strengthened his expertise in healthcare IT. During his tenure at the NUHS Academic Informatics Office, he led a team of technical and business analysts, implemented new electronic medical record systems, and developed data protection frameworks, demonstrating strong project management and compliance leadership.
- Throughout his career, Dr. Ling has consistently bridged the gap between clinical needs and technological solutions. His work in telehealth monitoring, clinical workflow optimization, and health technology assessment reflects his forward-thinking approach to digital healthcare transformation. Additionally, as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the NUS School of Public Health, he leads postgraduate informatics modules, underscoring his commitment to educating the next generation of healthcare IT professionals.

Mr Shane Lee
- Shane Lee has over 23 years of experience in Finance and is an alumnus of KPMG, Citibank and the Royal Bank of Scotland. He has been serving in public healthcare since 2013 and was responsible for the pricing and costing of services for Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and Jurong Community Hospital when both opened their doors in 2015.
- As the current Chief Financial Officer and Head of Risk Management at the National University Hospital, Shane provides senior Finance leadership, guiding the hospital through the COVID-19 pandemic and the implementation of Epic’s Next Generation Electronic Medical Records (NGEMR). His team was involved in the inaugural computation of the carbon output of a public hospital in Singapore. Shane also leads the Pricing & Costing Centre of Excellence for the National University Health System (NUHS), responsible for the pricing strategy and costing methodologies across NUHS institutions.
- Shane holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from the Nanyang Technological University and is a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants. He attended the Advanced Management Program at IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland, and was awarded the Public Administration Medal (Bronze) (COVID-19) in 2022 for his efforts during the global pandemic.
Chief Human Resource Officer, National University Hospital
Ms Clara Wee
- Clara Wee has over 35 years of experience in Human Resource, with more than 25 years spent in senior management positions. She has been the Chief Human Resource Officer at the National University Hospital since 2005 and has served as the Group Centre of Excellence Lead for Employee Relations since 2018, where she works closely with union partners to ensure fair and collaborative labour practices. During her tenure, she was also appointed Senior Director, Human Resources, National University Health System (NUHS), playing a pivotal role in the formation of NUHS for seven years.
- Clara is deeply passionate about building a culture of continuous learning and preparing the next generation of healthcare leaders. She has led her team in developing a series of leadership development programmes and enhancing the formal programme development framework. Her commitment to continual learning and skill development led her team to receive the Singapore SkillsFuture Employer Award in 2021.
- Clara holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Sociology – 2nd Upper Honours) from the National University of Singapore and was awarded the National Day Award – Public Administration Medal (Bronze) in 2023 for exceptional efficiency and ability in human resource management.
Chief Operating Officer, National University Hospital
Mr Jeremy Lee
- Prior to joining NUH, Jeremy spent 13 years in the Ministry of Defence. He was awarded the Singapore Armed Forces Academic Scholarship for his undergraduate education and served as a Military Officer.
- He joined the Healthcare sector in 2009 and has held numerous leadership appointments. His first leadership role was Head Operations of the Emergency Medicine Department (EMD), where he was involved in the renovation and expansion of the department as well as initiatives to address overcrowding issues.
- Jeremy spearheaded the review of Bed Management in NUH from one that was centrally controlled to a decentralised system managed by departments. This was aimed at driving accountability, empowerment, and fostering a collective bed management culture in the hospital.
- He also pushed for the adoption of Robotic Processing Automation (RPA) technology in various areas of operations to help improve accuracy, speed, and staff productivity. In the area of patient experience, he helped raise service standards across departments by piloting innovative ideas and creating an environment where service delivery is integral to the overall care process.
- As an Assistant COO overseeing central operations in NUH, Jeremy instituted many initiatives to build a strong team identity. He firmly believes that staff, including service partners, must feel valued and proud to work in the organisation. This starts with providing an enabling work environment and ensuring their well-being.
- During his career in NUH, he was awarded the NUHS Team Academic Medical Development Award (2013) for an attachment at the UC Irvine Medical Center, United States, and the NUHS-Mochtar Riady Pinnacle Award (Young Achiever) 2021. He also recently completed an executive program at INSEAD, France.

Adj Prof Mark Edward Puhaindran
- Adj Prof Mark Puhaindran graduated from the National University of Singapore and completed his specialty training in Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery at the National University Hospital, leading to his specialist accreditation in Hand Surgery.
- He was awarded the Health Manpower Development (HMDP) Award and completed a fellowship in Musculoskeletal Oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Centre in New York, USA.
- Adj Prof Puhaindran practices Hand Surgery and Musculoskeletal Oncology at both the National University Hospital and Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. He has authored several papers and book chapters on tumours of the musculoskeletal system.
- He is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate orthopaedic and hand surgery teaching and has been an invited speaker at both local and regional conferences.
